Where did you get it because I'd love to get one for my ball and chain as well as my bro-in-law. :)Edythe5000@gmail.comhttp://furryrabbits.tumblr.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8636658442495271604.post-72388456026258067792015-04-23T16:42:27.660-07:002015-04-23T16:42:27.660-07:00I have been to several of those! The shop is actually in Rancho Cucamonga not upland. Right there alone will tell people not to listen to your ignorance. Learn the city boarders. Secondly 50 mins after you got your food I am sure. You where there for the 2 hours the owner wouldn't lie. You can also talk all the trash you want about the shop. I for one am glad I wont have to wait forever to sit with my family to eat at this little shop with only like 15-18 tables. An hour wait at times. (This could backfire; you'll become at least as well known if your kid is a terror.) I'm from Canada, but visit Spokane often and always eat at Frank's. I consider their food the best breakfast food that I've ever eaten in the US or Canada.

Now, I'm moving to Los Angeles shortly and although I'm really excited, I'm a bit of a foodie. I'm horrified that I might have to go without Frank's for at least six months at a time. So, I'd like to ask you if there's any breakfast restaurant in or around Los Angeles that compares. Mainly the pancakes, and probably not the atmosphere (eating on a train and all). I'd just like to know if I can have a little bit of Frank's in LA.

GraceAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8636658442495271604.post-5971590529031202832012-05-09T07:03:03.033-07:002012-05-09T07:03:03.033-07:00The carne asada burrito has to be one of the best....The carne asada burrito has to be one of the best. I ordered it blindly expecting a $4.99 burrito to be mostly beans and rice with a scattering of meat. What I got was what appeared to be 2 lbs of carne asada, no beans, no rice, a perfect amount of cheese and pico de gallo! It seems impossible that they could make money on this item but I'm back every week now to get it.Redneck Geekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00166386049161030391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8636658442495271604.post-35606562576161117902012-04-27T09:49:07.200-07:002012-04-27T09:49:07.200-07:00Just as a matter of historical accuracy, the Diner...Just as a matter of historical accuracy, the Diner on Main in Alhambra was originally psrt of the ill-fated five store Preble's chain (based in Pasadena), not Sandys. When they closed, and Uncle John's was faced with raised rents, they just moved in and took everything as-is. That's why it doesn't match either the "Chinese" or the "greasy spoon" aesthetic.

The food is good -- it was just as good at the old place but the atmosphere is gone.
